Job summary

A leading UK software company in Manchester is looking for a Technical Delivery Lead to oversee technical project delivery and mentor a multidisciplinary team. You will drive Agile principles, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure the successful execution of cloud-based data solutions. Qualifications

Job Description:

To work closely with direct reports, colleagues, clients, and suppliers at all levels, acting as a technical delivery leader across domains, leading a team of BI System and Data Engineers working on the cloud-based data solution product Kingfisher.

Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of our cloud-based, high-speed, secure data solution, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes and standards.

Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for technical project planning and delivery, including requirement validation, build, test, release, and deployment.

Create an environment of continuous learning and improvement across the department and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to manage and prioritize the product backlog and coordinate inter-domain dependencies.
  • Drive, coach, and promote Agile principles within your team.
  • Mentor team members on technical and soft skills.
  • Track metrics related to software delivery and data-driven improvements, ensuring team objectives align with company goals.
  • Act as a point of escalation for management and technical issues.
  • Conduct quarterly appraisals, 1-2-1s, and performance activities.
  • Refine team processes to improve delivery.
  • Assess and elevate the Agile maturity of the team sustainably.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Mandatory

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and DevOps principles.
  • Experience in stakeholder communication, requirements elicitation, and negotiation.
  • Mentoring and coaching experience.
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of AWS; AWS Certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of automation, CI pipelines, infrastructure management, and configuration.

Salary
