A great opportunity has arisen to join our Business Intelligence Team within our IT Department as a BI Technical Engineer. You will report to the Head of Business Intelligence, supporting the development, maintenance, and growth of the Society's Data intelligence capability.
You will work closely with all business stakeholders to define, identify, and deliver MI requirements that support informed decision-making to improve our services and support our members. Responsibilities include identifying data quality issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with operational teams on data process improvements.
Additionally, you will be part of project teams to ensure reporting and data considerations are integrated into new platform or process implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Integration and Management: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring consistency across the business and alignment with KPIs.
- Dashboard Development: Create interactive management dashboards to aid decision-making.
- Data Analysis: Conduct complex analyses to identify trends and insights for strategic and operational improvements.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand and meet data requirements.
- Communication: Present findings clearly to senior leaders to facilitate data-driven decisions.
- Data Quality: Maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security through best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep up with industry trends to enhance data practices and tools.
Required Skills
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and data modeling (MS SQL preferred).
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills, capable of conveying technical info to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in work.

Experience
- Data engineering, analysis, or similar roles
