Are you an experienced Technical Coordinator seeking a new challenge in an innovative environment? Sustainability is a fundamental part of this company's business strategy, reflected in their diverse developments, from joint venture projects and private sale developments to affordable homes for housing associations and local authorities. An advantage of working with this client is that they operate as both developer and contractor, offering a wider scope and varied role.

About the role of Technical Coordinator

You will be responsible for technical support and delivery of residential schemes within this business's southern region, ensuring projects are completed on budget, to quality standards, safely, and with motivated teams. You will also ensure adherence to and engagement with the quality management system and other company procedures.

Responsibilities of Technical Coordinator

  • Promote health, safety, and environmental issues in line with company policy.
  • Control the quality of drawn information and address non-conformance issues.
  • Deliver design packages on time and accurately. Produce design reports to monitor progress and report current status against the design programme.
  • Mentor trainees if required, oversee Technical Coordinators on one or more projects.
  • Ensure all consultant appointments (including scope of works, payment schedules, and collateral warranties) are signed before payments are made.

Requirements for the Technical Coordinator role

  • Relevant professional qualification, such as Degree, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5.
  • Chartered membership of a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, CIAT, RIBA).
  • A proactive management style with the ability to manage and coordinate the design team on challenging sites.
  • Effective people management skills, including giving feedback, direction, support, and coaching.
  • Skills including assertiveness, decisiveness, flexibility, good time management, organization, effective meeting participation, working under pressure, and meeting strict deadlines.
