My client, a well known house builder, are currently seeking a Technical Coordinator.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Technical Coordinator will oversee and control the detailed design process for residential development projects, from planning approval through to completion. Working closely with Design Consultants, statutory authorities, and internal departments, this role is central to ensuring projects meet regulatory standards, buildability requirements, and company specifications. The successful candidate will bring technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to lead both internal and external teams.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full design process from post-planning to completion, ensuring compliance with Employer's Requirements, Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and company specifications.
  • Appoint and manage Design Consultants, coordinating inputs from structural engineers, architects, housing associations, and other stakeholders for integrated, compliant designs.
  • Review construction details, consultant and subcontractor designs for buildability, statutory compliance, and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor NHBC conditions and warranty provider requirements, ensuring timely registration and clearance.
  • Manage street naming, postal addressing, and other regulatory processes with local authorities.
  • Prepare and distribute Pre-Construction Information Packs, and maintain accurate Health & Safety Files, O&M Manuals, and design documentation with effective version control.
  • Act as the primary technical contact, liaising with internal teams and site management to resolve design queries and ensure safe, practical build solutions.
  • Attend project and Housing Association meetings, communicating updates and resolving compliance issues.
  • Review and approve supplier design submissions to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Ensure all design development supports health and safety best practices and complies with legislation and company policies.
