We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our well-established, professional, and friendly team. This role will assist the Planning & Design Manager in managing and coordinating project technical information in a timely manner to ensure that all project deliverables are achieved, supporting the senior team and the site and contract managers in delivering the build programmes.

About the role

Reporting into the Planning & Design Manager to:

  • Ensure that all Health, Safety, and Wellbeing policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure the plot packs are kept up to date with the latest standards.
  • Keep all drawing registers, internal and external consultants, up to date.
  • Check drawings issued from external consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors for compliance and coordinate with our designs.
  • Review and scrutinise design drawings, specifications, and details for compliance and buildability.
  • Assist in managing the development process from start to finish.
  • Assist and liaise with planning authorities to ensure all parties' interests are fulfilled, monitoring planning conditions until fully discharged at the earliest opportunity.
  • Incorporate sustainable and eco-friendly practices into designs and construction.
  • Liaise with Highways to monitor progress of section 278/38 and other agreements.
  • Liaise with EWG legal team to monitor progress of legal agreements.
  • Liaise with site staff and the commercial team to resolve technical queries and issue detailed requirements. Provide site support and manage responses to technical requests for information.
  • Attend monthly site meetings and subcontractor progress meetings to discuss design requirements.
  • Support the commercial team with procurement information for subcontract tendering packages.
  • Identify and manage third-party involvement.
  • Produce reports for internal and external functions.
  • Resolve and close out complex issues efficiently.
  • Resolve design and building problems by contacting relevant personnel and consultants.
  • Assist in gathering information for Part L and CML compliance.
  • Prepare and check brochure plans.
  • Promote the Group's Health, Safety, and Environment Policy, ensuring team compliance to meet health, safety, and wellbeing standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve company targets.
  • Attend all internal project and team meetings.

About you

You will be an experienced Technical Coordinator with MRICS accreditation, NVQ, or BSc qualification. You should have demonstrable experience in construction design and build, good knowledge of market rates, processes, and NHBC standards.

It would be beneficial if you have the ability to influence and motivate others, along with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
