Role
What is the role?
The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate all technical information including Building Design, Highways, Drainage, Utilities and Sustainability on projects from inception to completion whilst working to the Management team's technical brief.
What You'll Do As a Technical Coordinator
- Assist in the production of layouts and technical reports for Land Appraisals; and have an understanding of working drawings.
- Brief and commission site investigations, topographical survey and other assessment reports on land acquired
- Brief engineering and architectural consultants on scope of design, which includes roads sewers private drainage, retaining walls, foundation designs any other substructures below DPC level either private or adopted
- Initial negotiations/enquiries with statutory bodies and utility undertakers on environmental, drainage, highways and other engineering issues when appraising land
- Issue engineering information to Commercial, Construction and Sales departments
- Fee negotiation and appointment of consultants
- Answering Technical queries
- Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group's Health, Safety and Environment Policy
Experience needed
- Experience of working within a residential developer
- HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in construction
- By way of technical experience, you will have understandings of current building regulations and CDM you will also have knowledge of current EA/Water Authority/Highway regulations and adoption agreements.
- Must have a good understanding of AutoCAD and be able to communicate effectively with both internal departments and external bodies
- Full UK driving licence
