Role: Technical Coordinator

Location: Wakefield

Linsco is working with a well-established and highly reputable construction company that is looking for a Technical Coordinator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity offering a competitive salary, excellent working environment, and potential career progression.

My client will also consider an Architectural Technologist who has experience managing the entire process and is ready to give up the tools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone experienced in the technical industry.

As a Technical Coordinator, you will coordinate all technical information between external consultants and internal departments throughout the design and construction process. Your role will ensure all approvals are obtained and information is received and issued promptly to facilitate a smooth start on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure all drawings and details are accurate and commercially suitable throughout the design and construction phases.
  2. Liaise with relevant colleagues regarding technical matters.
  3. Attend meetings to update, collate, and discuss technical issues.
  4. Coordinate design team meetings with internal and external participants.
  5. Attend site meetings as required.
  6. Coordinate the planning process.
  7. Agree on construction specifications, SAP, and BREEAM strategies for the project.
  8. Assist Commercial and Buying teams in reviewing and approving subcontractor design information.
  9. Ensure design information is accurate, timely, and aligns with client requirements.
  10. Maintain and manage all current drawings, documents, and information for all contracts.
  11. Review and check contract documentation, warranties, and bonds in liaison with the Contracts Manager.
  12. Review planning approvals to ensure conditions are addressed before site commencement.
  13. Apply for and secure statutory approvals for engineering design and ground remediation.
  14. Coordinate temporary works designs.
  15. Attend site visits and meetings to resolve issues during construction.
  16. Anticipate and incorporate new regulation requirements.
  17. Coordinate the submission of Building Control applications and supporting documentation.
