Job description

Role: Technical Coordinator

Job Type: Permanent, asap start ideally

Location: West London, office and site based

Industry: Construction/Build/ Residential

Salary: £45-55k basic salary plus package

About the Role

Main Residential Developer clients are after an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their West London teams.

This is a permanent, full-time position with travel to site and office in the Residential Building Sector. Prior experience working for a Developer, working with either RC frame projects, cladding/recladding, are a huge advantage and will be prioritised.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage multiple construction projects, coordinating with the Technical Director/Manager to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet key milestones.
  2. Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by implementing health and safety measures aligned with industry regulations and company procedures.
  3. Manage the flow of design information and technical documents, collaborating with architects, engineers, and other consultants. This includes securing necessary approvals, coordinating utility designs, and ensuring consistent design throughout the project.
  4. Work closely with clients, housing associations, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, providing information for contracts, attending meetings, and managing communication.
  5. Manage technical fees, S106 obligations, and other project expenses to ensure projects stay within budget.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, warranty providers, and industry standards.
  7. Respond to technical queries, conduct site visits, and attend project meetings to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills and Experience:

  1. BTEC HND/HNC in Design, Construction or Civil Engineering.
  2. Strong understanding of construction principles, regulations, and best practices.
  3. Comfortable managing multiple projects and working effectively with diverse teams.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  5. Proactive and organized individual with a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.
  6. Member of professional body e.g. ICE, CIAT, CIOB.
  7. Principle Designer and associated Health and Safety training/qualifications.
  8. CSCS card qualification.
  9. Proficient use of Auto Cad.
