Are you a technically strong professional in residential construction with a background in high-rise and complex build types? We're on the lookout for a Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager to help manage the design process of high-quality residential developments for a fast-growing, design-led developer.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work on an exclusive project in the Birmingham area, with a strong focus on high-rise, concrete frame residential schemes. You'll coordinate the technical aspects of development from pre-planning through to delivery, ensuring buildability, regulatory compliance, and exceptional quality throughout.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the design process across all stages of high-rise residential developments
- Oversee technical detailing for concrete frame structures and complex construction elements
- Lead the preparation and submission of BSR (Building Safety Regulator) Applications
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Ensure full compliance with building regulations, NHBC standards, and planning conditions
- Conduct buildability and value engineering reviews during pre-construction
- Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams on site
- Identify and resolve technical risks, ensuring smooth progression through key gateways
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a technical role within a similar residential developer or contractor, ideally involving high-rise schemes
- Solid understanding of concrete frame construction methods
- Hands-on experience preparing BSR Gateway 2 Applications (and/or familiarity with Building Safety Act requirements)
- Strong knowledge of UK housing standards, planning, and regulatory processes
- RIBA Part 3 qualified with a BA in Architectural Design (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-driven, solution-oriented, and confident working on large-scale developments
