We’re excited to support a specialist land promotion business focused on delivering residential and mixed-use developments across the UK. This dynamic and fast-paced company partners with landowners to secure planning permissions, facilitating land sales to major house builders and developers. With a dynamic and friendly culture, they are known for their professional approach and impactful projects.

As a Technical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the technical aspects of projects from pre-bid through to sale. You’ll manage and coordinate external consultants, oversee technical reports and drawings and provide ongoing support to internal teams during the planning and disposal process. Your input will be key in identifying site constraints, coordinating planning application deliverables and ensuring proposals align with best practice and optimise land value.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience within the house building sector, either directly with a house builder or commercial developer or as a consultant supporting residential, industrial or distribution-led schemes. You will bring a strong understanding of engineering and environmental matters relevant to the land appraisal and planning application stages of development. A broad interest in multidisciplinary aspects of development, a highly organised approach and excellent communication skills are all essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and update development constraint plans (AutoCAD)
  2. Coordinate and review reports from engineering, environmental, and utility consultants
  3. Support planning application submissions with technical input
  4. Assist in the preparation of sales stage deliverables (e.g. contract plans, technical summaries)
  5. Liaise across teams to ensure technical requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  6. Maintain accurate project documentation and oversee compliance with relevant regulations
  7. Value engineer design options and scrutinise technical details for buildability
  8. Stay informed on industry changes, contributing to CPD and internal knowledge-sharing

Requirements:

  1. Experience within the house building sector or strategic residential/commercial land promotion
  2. Familiarity with engineering and environmental considerations during early project stages
  3. HNC or equivalent in a relevant technical field (e.g. engineering, architecture, construction)
  4. Proficient in AutoCAD and confident interpreting technical reports and plans
  5. Understanding of key agreements (e.g. S106, S38, S278) and planning processes
  6. Excellent organisation and coordination skills
  7. Strong communication and collaboration across stakeholders
  8. Degree or chartership in a relevant field
  9. Experience in land promotion or housing development
