The Role

You ve built your 10,000 hours. Now you re looking for a role where you can step up, take real responsibility, and help deliver outstanding residential construction work safely, efficiently, and without surprises.

As Technical Coordinator, your role is to turn vision into execution. Working across structural, planning, and interior design, you ll ensure that everything a project needs to be built right from sequencing to safety is thought through before it hits site.

You ll also play a vital role in protecting the customer experience. Construction can be overwhelming, full of technical disagreements, back-and-forth, and unclear language. Your job is to shield the customer from that stress making sure their project flows clearly, cleanly, and confidently without them being pulled into unnecessary technical friction.

This is not a caretaker role. This is a builder s role. A systems role. A get-it-done-right role in service of the customer, the team, and the end result.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction Technical Delivery

Design & Engineering Alignment

  • Work closely with the Lead Designer to protect the integrity of design while ensuring it s buildable and safe
  • Resolve technical conflicts between architectural intent and construction reality
  • Ensure planning and engineering constraints are handled proactively not passed downstream
  • Systems & SOP Creation
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repeatable project types such as:

- Lintel replacements

- Structural openings

- Extensions

- Retaining walls

- Interior fit-outs

  • Note: This list is not exhaustive your job is to identify, systemise, and improve processes across all common and emerging job types
  • Build and maintain an internal technical library: drawings, checklists, sequencing diagrams, material specs, risk points

  • Comfortable communicating with both creatives and trades
  • Proactive, methodical, and ready to own results
  • Not a talker. A doer.
  • Clear promotion pathway to Senior Technical Coordinator / Technical Manager (£40K+)
  • Tools and training budget available as role grows
