Technical Contract Manager (Mechanical bias)

Location: West London

Salary: Up to 75,000 + car allowance + benefits

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Contract Manager with strong technical expertise in M&E services, particularly with a background in HVAC, gas systems, or mechanical infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee the delivery of facilities maintenance services across multiple high-profile academic and research sites.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading a multi-skilled technical team across multiple campus sites.

  • Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance and service excellence.

  • Acting as the primary client liaison, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and long-term relationship building.

  • Promoting a strong health & safety culture through visible leadership and regular audits.

  • Managing performance against KPIs and SLAs.

  • Driving operational improvements and efficiencies.

  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house engineers.

  • Supporting budget control and commercial delivery, including P&L oversight.



What You'll Bring:

  • Note: Applicants must have a technical/mechanical background for this particular role.

  • Proven experience managing hard FM services in a client-facing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, particularly HVAC or gas/mechanical services.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience managing CAFM systems, compliance, and contract reporting.

  • IOSH Managing Safely (or an equivalent H&S qualification).

  • NEBOSH General Certificate.

  • HNC in Building Services Engineering or a similar qualification.

  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship or trade background.
