Job summary

Client Server Limited is seeking a Technical Consultant (Windows Security Pre-Sales) for a London-based role with WFH flexibility. You will guide clients through pre-sales, design and implementation with a focus on cyber security and encryption products across finance, government, defence and more.

You’ll lead workshops, run PoCs, and present demonstrations while acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
• Deep understanding of Windows Servers and Microsoft products.
• Broad technical understanding of data security, risk analysis and threat modelling in information security.
• Knowledge of Linux, networking, firewalls, VPN configuration, Docker, microservices, Cloud (Azure / AWS).
• Self-driven, proactive and analytical with problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical workshops, PoCs, architecture discussions and product demonstrations.
• Provide technical guidance during the sales process and ensure tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Feed customer insights back into Engineering and Product teams to influence direction.
• Support partner enablement and deliver technical training.
• Identify new business opportunities and drive product adoption and market growth.

Technical Consultant (Windows Security Pre-Sales) London / WFH to £90k + OTE

You could be progressing your career, working on cutting edge security / encryption products at a successful and expanding software house that provide cyber security products to a range of finance, government, defence, law enforcement and pharmaceutical companies.

As a Technical Consultant you'll combine technical expertise with commercial awareness, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales and solution design through to implementation, training and ongoing success.

Collaborating with customers, partners, Product Management and Engineering teams, you will lead technical workshops, proof of concepts, architecture discussions and product demonstrations, ensuring solutions are tailored to customer needs and delivered to the highest standard. You'll become a subject matter expert across the product portfolio, providing technical guidance during the sales process while helping customers realise long term value from their investment.

This is a highly collaborative and influential role, offering the opportunity to shape product direction by feeding customer insights back into Engineering and Product teams. You'll also support partner enablement, deliver technical training, identify new business opportunities and play a key role in driving product adoption and market growth.

Location / WFH

You’ll be primarily working from home but must be flexible to travel to client sites, mainly London and M4 corridor although sometimes further afield.

About you

• You have experience in a similar Technical Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer role
• You have a deep understanding of Windows Servers / Microsoft products
• You have a broad technical understanding of data security, risk analysis and threat modelling techniques used in the Information Security space
• You have a high level knowledge of Linux, networking, firewalls, VPN configuration, Docker, microservices, Cloud (Azure / AWS)
• You're proactive, analytical and have advanced problem solving abilities
• You must be eligible to achieve DV Clearance (i.e. British citizen or resident for a minimum of 10 years)
