Requirements

The Technical Consultant should have a development background, experience with the public sector, and understanding of how technology transforms public services. Focus areas include low code platforms, integration, workflow, and automation, with reporting to the Head of IT & Innovation on technical delivery, data analysis, migrations, and system integrations.

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Design and build solutions using low code platforms.
  • Develop complex technical integrations and solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance on platform implementation and configuration.
  • Train and advise clients and colleagues on platform use.
  • Maintain technical standards for digital services development.
  • Support the creation of technical libraries and reusable components.

Education/Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in IT or related field.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or experience in software, databases, project management, and business analysis.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with PowerApps.
  • Experience in application development, data migration, solution architecture, and business analysis.
  • Experience working with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in supporting change within public organizations, stakeholder management, and training delivery.
  • Skills in SQL (MySQL, SSIS), data analysis, integration, and database optimization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to undergo security clearance and meet government security standards.
