Technical Consultant – EUC / VDI

To meet expectations, they now have an immediate and exciting opening for a Technical Consultant to be based Remotely in the UK.

Technical Consultant responsibilities:

• Design and implement IT infrastructure solutions, including networks, servers, storage, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Conduct on-site installation and configuration of servers, networking devices, and storage systems.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including configuration guides and infrastructure diagrams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with client expectations and project timelines.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients, ensuring smooth deployment and adoption of solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance solution offerings.
• Support ongoing infrastructure improvements and optimizations to drive efficiency and performance.

Technical Consultant skills, traits, and experience:

• Extensive experience in End User Computing (EUC), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) deployment, and physical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and its integration with enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Citrix.
• Hands-on experience with deploying, racking, and cabling servers, networking, and storage hardware.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and client requirements.
• A proactive approach to learning and staying updated on emerging IT infrastructure technologies.
