Job Summary
Are you a qualified field biologist looking for your next challenge? Kiwa Agri Food is seeking a Technical Consultant to join our expanding Pest Consultancy team. This remote, field-based role involves carrying out inspections and audits across a wide range of manufacturing, warehousing, and retail facilities in the UK and internationally. To best support our key clients, we’re ideally looking for someone based in Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire or Cambridgeshire.
About the role
  • Conduct inspections and audits in line with the scope of industry-recognised qualifications
  • Produce detailed and accurate photographic inspection reports
  • Deliver reports to customers on time and in accordance with KIPC company policy
  • Manage and schedule inspection work based on allocated assignments
  • Supervise and train new or less experienced employees (typically after 1-2 years as a KIPC consultant)
  • Support business development by promoting the company’s products and services
Do you have what it takes?

Expected technical knowledge and competencies:

  • Legislation relevant to public health pest control
  • Storage and transport of pesticides
  • Biology, behavior and control of rats and mice
  • Control of other vertebrate pests including birds, rabbits, foxes, squirrels, moles, and feral cats
  • Public health insect pest biology and control including cockroaches, ants, wasps, flies, biting insects, stored product insects
  • Pesticide application equipment
  • Personal protective equipment
  • Pesticide formulations and active ingredients
  • Resilient, dynamic, and results-driven with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal relations at all levels
  • Knowledge and understanding of various retailer standards
  • Willingness to travel both in the UK and overseas

Qualifications (required):

  • Practical pest control experience in a wide range of facilities
  • RSPH Level 2 Award or Certificate in Pest Management
  • BPCA Advanced Technician in Pest Management
  • Level 3 Food Safety
  • BPCA Certificated Field Biologist
What can you expect from us in return?
  • Up to £38,000 plus £5,040 (car allowance), dependent on qualifications/experience
  • Fuel mileage reimbursement on top of car allowance
