Job summary

Osmii is seeking an HPC Technical Consultant – Power & Cooling to lead on-site deployments across the United Kingdom with up to 50% travel to customer sites. The role is fully remote, requiring collaboration with customers and internal teams to deliver robust cooling and power solutions.

You will design air- and water-cooled systems, act as a trusted advisor on power and thermal infrastructure, and work across electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, and control disciplines.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a technical consultant in power and cooling.
  • Background in electrical, mechanical, or thermal engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of data center power delivery, cooling architectures, and heat transfer principles.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to customer locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical leadership for large-scale liquid cooling deployments.
  • Advise clients on power, thermal, and cooling infrastructure needs.
  • Translate RFP requirements into compliant air- and water-cooled designs.
  • Guide engineering across electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, and controls.
  • Collaborate with sales and CDU providers to scope solutions and determine costs.
  • Identify emerging technologies to enhance future releases.

Job Title: HPC Technical Consultant – Power & Cooling

Location: United Kingdom (Fully Remote, 50% travel to customer sites)

Employment Type: Full-time

What You Will Do
  • Provide on-site technical leadership for large-scale liquid cooling deployments at major customer sites.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients on power, thermal, and cooling infrastructure requirements.
  • Decipher complex RFP requirements and collaborate with IT architects to design compliant, air- and water-cooled solutions.
  • Deliver engineering guidance across multiple disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with sales, internal engineering teams, and external CDU providers to scope solutions, determine costs, and evaluate build-vs-buy decisions.
  • Identify and integrate key emerging technologies into future releases to advance product capabilities.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience as a technical consultant specializing in power and cooling systems.
  • Background in electrical, mechanical, or thermal engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of data center power delivery, cooling architectures, and heat transfer principles.
  • HVAC project engineering experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent customer-facing communication skills with a proven track record of driving technical decisions to closure.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to customer locations.
