Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
Successful candidates will join the Logistics professional services team, working in a team to implement logistics management software projects. The (Senior) Consultant: Project Manager is responsible for running projects daily according to specifications and commercials. They serve as a coordination point between functional teams to ensure proper alignment and focus.
Areas of Responsibility
- Define the client solution, project structure, and initiation.
- Create the Statement of Work document, defining scope, objectives, timeline, and budget.
- Deliver project management office outputs like project plans, status reports, RAID logs, dashboards, and budget monitoring. Coordinate resources and set client expectations.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing adjustments as needed.
- Manage project finances, ensuring adherence to budgets and compliance with audit controls.
- Ensure effective communication within the project team for clarity on responsibilities and activities.
- Work with stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
- Develop leadership, customer relations, and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
- Manage enhancement requirements through change and configuration management processes.
- Align internal and external technical teams involved in implementation.
- Lead requirements definition discussions with clients and document inputs for SW development.
- Coordinate UAT, Go-Live, and post-implementation support.
- Understand organizational priorities and drive them in daily operations.
- Apply industry best practices, methodologies, tools, and standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years proven project management experience, preferably in IT.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar).
- Bachelor's degree.
- Fluency in English; German is preferred.
- Experience in client-facing environments.
- Strong communication skills for customer interaction.
- High self-organization, problem-solving, proactivity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software, MS Office, CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel and work independently on client sites.
Preferred Qualifications
