Job Description:
Technical Compliance Officer (Asbestos, Legionella & Lifts) (full time, 35 hours per week)
The Technical Compliance Officer (Legionella / Asbestos / Lifts) will support full compliance for the delivery of these contracts. They must have in-depth knowledge of legionella, asbestos, and lift safety, with specialist training and a minimum safety qualification in each discipline.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the Strategic Manager (Servicing) in coordinating legionella, asbestos, and lift safety activities and maintenance to meet legal standards and British Standards (BS).
- Assist with safety activities and projects across GPHG’s property portfolio.
- Inspect properties, identify weaknesses, and propose solutions.
- Support the preparation of work schedules, specifications, and procurement of remedial projects.
- Provide technical advice to colleagues and contractors to ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
- Manage contract programs and contractors to achieve quality, cost, and time targets.
- Ensure all safety maintenance complies with current regulations and standards.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and produce reports.
- Perform post-inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in policy review, development, and implementation, including training and site visits.

What you’ll need
- Membership of ASCP or an equivalent body (not essential).
- Technical knowledge of legionella, asbestos, and lift systems and maintenance.
- Excellent knowledge of compliance legislation related to safety systems.
- Experience in contract management and delivery.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management.
