Job summary

Danielle Ward Recruitment in the UK is assisting a successful fashion business to appoint a Technical/Compliance Manager. This role covers nightwear and loungewear, driving quality, fit and innovation from concept through to customer delivery.

You will lead fit sessions, manage supplier communication overseas, travel to the Far East as needed, oversee sampling and QA, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with British Standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role within fashion, with deep understanding of garment construction and quality standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to prioritise effectively.
• Experience working with supermarkets and in audits/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead fit sessions using live models or mannequins and provide clear fit comments.
• Communicate technical updates and specifications to overseas factories and maintain supplier relationships.
• Travel to the Far East as needed to support production and quality control.
• Oversee measuring, grading and sampling processes for each garment.
• Manage and mentor junior team members and ensure smooth workflow.
• Collaborate with merchandisers to meet critical path deadlines and QA inspections.
• Review garments against test reports to ensure compliance with British Standards.
• Develop and issue initial technical specifications.

• Communicate technical updates and specifications to overseas factories, maintaining strong supplier relationships
• Travel to the Far East as needed to support production and quality control
• Oversee the measuring, grading, and full sampling process for each garment
• Manage and mentor junior team members, ensuring smooth workflow and development
