Qualifications

Summary

To support the Head of compliance, suppliers & technical packaging, Technical Packaging Manager and Suppliers Assurance Manager in ensuring compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role will focus on maintaining technical documentation, monitoring supplier compliance, and assisting with packaging and quality assurance processes.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Compliance Management

• Support implementation and maintenance of technical compliance programs across packaging and supplier assurance functions.
• Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records, technical specifications, and audit documentation.
• Prepare compliance reports and summaries for internal stakeholders and external audits.
• Assist in monitoring supplier performance against agreed standards and specifications.
• Assist in coordinating supplier audits and tracking follow‑up actions to ensure corrective measures are completed.
• Support management of Approved Supplier List and Supplier Quality Management processes.

Packaging Compliance Support

• Work closely with the Technical Packaging Manager to ensure packaging materials meet UK & EU regulatory and sustainability requirements.
• Support packaging trials and validation processes, ensuring documentation is complete and compliant.
• Assist in maintaining and updating packaging database systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline compliance processes and improve efficiency.
• Support training initiatives for internal teams and suppliers on compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Food science / technology qualifications or equivalent
• Interest in sustainability and helping achieve sustainability goals
• Understanding of food safety systems, HACCP, BRC
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at different levels
• Ability to challenge others in a respectful way
• Strong levels of analytical & curiosity & ability to cross-check information

• Clean driving license (1 year +)
