This role is central to protecting the business, optimising cost and driving smarter packaging decisions.

In this role, you’ll act as the link between suppliers, buyers, designers and third‑party partners, using data, insight and technical expertise to ensure we remain compliant while improving packaging standards across both store and online channels. Your work will directly support customer experience, operational efficiency and long‑term sustainability.

Job Overview
  • Ensure compliance with EPR and Plastic Packaging Tax legislation and supporting accurate submissions to DEFRA and HMRC.
  • Collect, analyse and validate packaging data to improve insight, accuracy and cost control.
  • Working with the Buying and Design teams to develop packaging that minimises regulatory obligations while maintaining product integrity and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve packaging for both store and online orders, balancing cost, compliance and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and third-party partners to improve packaging data coverage and quality.
  • Monitor supplier performance, addressing underperformance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and KPIs to track compliance, cost and performance trends.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through reports, presentations and stakeholder workshops.
