About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Technical Documentation Specialist to support a globally respected engineering organisation operating in the aerospace sector. This
hands-on, detail-critical role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in
aerospace maintenance documentation or
technical authorship who thrives in a precision-focused environment.
The role sits within a highly skilled technical team responsible for engine overhaul and repair across the EMEA region. You will play a key role in ensuring that technical publications, maintenance data, and supporting documentation are accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and validate complex technical procedures, publications, and engineering documentation.
- Ensure maintenance documentation is aligned with regulatory, airworthiness, and internal standards.
- Compile and audit technical records (including workpacks and maintenance logs) to ensure completeness and traceability.
- Generate technical reports, cost estimates, and repair summaries in line with quoted scopes of work.
- Assist in maintaining a compliant document archive system, including scanning and indexing of legacy records.
- Work closely with engineering and materials teams to ensure accurate part tracking, repair status, and scrap handling.
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in aerospace maintenance documentation or technical authorship.
- Ability to interpret OEM publications, technical procedures, and airworthiness data.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word for report generation and data handling.
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to documentation accuracy and process integrity.
- Effective communicator capable of liaising with technical teams, suppliers, and quality personnel.
- Familiarity with EASA, FAA, or equivalent airworthiness standards is an advantage.
