Trainee / Graduate Technical Coordinator

Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for construction, technical design, and precision manufacturing?
Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity to launch your career as a Trainee / Graduate Technical Coordinator within a growing and forward-thinking team.

About the Role

This development role is designed to give you hands-on experience across live architectural precast and cast stone projects, supporting experienced technical staff and learning how to deliver accurate, buildable solutions. You'll build valuable skills in design interpretation, production feasibility, and client coordination, laying the groundwork for future roles such as Technical Coordinator, Contracts Manager, or Technical Lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the technical team in interpreting architectural and engineering drawings for manufacture.

  • Assist in coordinating technical submittals, drawing schedules, and sample approvals.

  • Liaise with clients, designers, estimators, and production teams to clarify specifications and ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Track design progress and contribute to early-stage design reviews to resolve coordination issues.

  • Help prepare detailed manufacturing information such as Bills of Quantities, mould lists, and component schedules.

  • Use CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent) to review, mark up, and issue technical drawings.

  • Maintain accurate version control and technical records across all stages of the project lifecycle.

  • Support ongoing process improvements and contribute to technical knowledge-sharing.

About You

We re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is keen to develop their technical and project coordination skills in a dynamic construction environment.

You will ideally have:

  • A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Technology, or a related field.

  • Some experience through placements or internships in construction or manufacturing environments.

  • An understanding of technical drawings and construction methods.

  • Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) desirable, not essential.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
