The opportunity

We are creating a new position: Technical & Business Performance Manager, Europe, based in any European office or London. This role supports strategy development for our European Branch across multiple lines including Property, Casualty, Financial Lines, Cyber, Marine, Sustainable Energy, and Construction.

Your new role

You will support the Underwriting Director and Product team in managing underwriting strategy, claims, and reinsurance activities to meet business objectives, ensuring compliance. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, reporting, KPI management, and overseeing risk and reinsurance processes.

Strategy and Projects

  • Deliver projects to enhance the European Underwriting Framework
  • Participate in modernization and sustainability initiatives
  • Contribute to underwriting projects such as Wordings, new Product Development, and governance
  • Engage in country-specific projects affecting Underwriting

Performance monitoring and Business plan

  • Develop and deliver ideas supporting the business plan
  • Monitor account performance, claims, reserves, and portfolio metrics
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements
  • Manage underwriting risk data and reinsurance purchases

People

  • Support team development, training, and motivation
  • Create training materials and risk management tools
