Job description

Are you someone who enjoys turning complex business challenges into clear, actionable solutions?

We're looking for a Business Functional Analyst to join a high-profile technology programme focused on data governance, onboarding, and surveillance initiatives. This is an opportunity to work on projects with significant regulatory and business impact while collaborating with stakeholders across technology, compliance, surveillance, and operations.

In this role, you'll become a trusted partner to both business and technical teams, helping to bridge the gap between regulatory requirements, operational needs, and technology delivery. You'll work closely with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders to understand complex processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that critical data is accurately captured, governed, and utilised.

What makes this role particularly rewarding is the breadth of exposure. You'll gain deep insight into surveillance processes, data governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and enterprise-scale data platforms while helping to drive meaningful change across multiple programmes and workstreams.

You'll be involved throughout the full delivery lifecycle, from gathering and analysing requirements through to supporting implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing governance activities. Your work will help ensure that critical business requirements remain traceable, auditable, and fully aligned to regulatory expectations.

The position offers a strong blend of business engagement and hands-on analytical work. You'll analyse data, develop SQL-based solutions, contribute to data processing pipelines, create reporting and management information dashboards, and provide the documentation required to support governance, compliance, and audit reviews.

This is an environment where collaboration and influence matter. You'll have the opportunity to work with senior stakeholders, challenge existing processes, recommend improvements, and help shape solutions that deliver real business value. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences will be just as important as your analytical capabilities.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and has a genuine interest in data, governance, and business transformation. Strong business analysis skills, experience working with complex data sets, SQL expertise, and the ability to produce high-quality documentation will be key to success.

In return, you'll join a team where your contributions are highly visible, your expertise is valued, and your work directly supports critical business and regulatory objectives. If you're looking for a role that combines stakeholder engagement, data analysis, governance, and strategic delivery within a sophisticated technology environment, we'd love to hear from you.
