Job: Murex Technical Business Analyst - Equities and Commodities
Location: London, UK
Hybrid Working – travel to office is required
Full Time Contact – Long Term Engagement
OVERVIEW
- Join the New Product Onboarding team within the bank, supporting the Global Markets Commodities (GMC) business by delivering flexible, scalable, and tailored solutions to onboard new commodities underlyings.
- This is a front-to-back implementation role, covering the full trade lifecycle including post-trade workflows. Murex is the core system for managing Oil, Precious Metals, Base Metals, and EU/UK/US Power and Gas (both financial and physical products). The team is also supporting the build-out of carbon trading capabilities within Murex.
- You will work closely with teams based in Paris and Porto to ensure efficient use of core processes. The team plays a critical role in designing and delivering a resilient, efficient, and scalable information system for GMC, in collaboration with IT, business, and operational teams across London and globally.
- As part of the GMC IT department, the team adheres to established governance processes.
Expectation
- To manage the daily communication with the stakeholders on various ongoing initiatives
- Strong experience and knowledge of Support framework including regular communication and alignment of shared topics with various streams
- Single Point of Contact for WIP items
- This role is 50% PM, and 50% hands on role, so need someone with strong Murex experience
- Experience with Commodities,
Mandatory Requirements
- Strong Murex experience and proven track record in managing support for Business Users
- Clear understanding of the support structure, including incident reporting, follow up, closure and post mortem
- Work closely with Head Office (Paris) support and other teams,
- Nimble to work on projects & BAU Support issues
- Provide technical solution to the business needs and following best practices and standards. Be the driver for change and promote strategic solutions with the view for building for the long term. Shows Urgency on business related issues and manage business expectations
Communication
- Strong, Clear and precise communication (Oral & Written) is a key requirement for the role.
- Ability to manage the production issue logs / golden source (tracker) provide clear and concise updates on the progress being made
- Liaise with counterparts in various streams locally and geographically to ensure status and progress is well understood
- Be an active team member and work closely with the team to manage and share the workload
