Job summary

Deutsche Bank in London is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a six-month contract to support Cash Flow Trading platforms. You will partner with Product Owners, engineering leads and technology teams to modernise platforms and deliver actionable insights from trading and operational data.

Qualifications

• Strong Business Analysis experience within investment banking or capital markets; understanding of front-office trading and supporting tech platforms.
• Experience gathering, documenting and managing business requirements, user stories and process flows across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong data analysis skills to identify trends, KPIs and insights for decision-making.
• Experience working with Product Owners and development teams in agile delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to facilitate workshops and drive consensus.
• Technical background with understanding of Java to navigate files and logs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and technology teams to support the modernisation and enhancement of Cash Flow Trading platforms.
• Elicit, analyse, document and manage business requirements, user stories, functional specifications and process flows to support strategic technology initiatives and production improvements.
• Analyse trading, operational and technology data to identify trends, define key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver actionable insights that support business decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements clarification, testing support, implementation and change management activities.
• Leverage market and trading system knowledge, including tools such as Bloomberg, to understand business workflows and support effective technology solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong Business Analysis experience within investment banking or capital markets, with a good understanding of front-office trading businesses and supporting technology platforms.
• Proven ability to gather, document and manage business requirements, user stories, process flows and functional specifications across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to analyse trading, operational and technology data, identify trends, define KPIs and produce actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Experience working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and development teams in an agile delivery environment, supporting testing, implementation and change management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively, facilitate workshops and drive consensus across business and technology teams.
• Technical background with understanding of Java to navigate files and logs.
