Barclays is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to lead the evolution of our digital landscape and work with product owners and technical teams to realise the product roadmap.

You will analyse requirements, manage the backlog using Agile practices, and leverage Jira/Confluence to capture needs. The role is based in Knutsford and requires collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Bridge business requirements and technology, with critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing functional requirements in Agile environments.
  • Understand SDLC and how to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Banking/Payments/Digital Platform domain knowledge.
  • Technical knowledge to assist with data analysis and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

Join us as a Technical Business Analyst at Barclays, where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. The purpose of this role is to collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process and utilise their knowledge of the bank’s technologies to enact the vision defined in the product roadmap.

Key Skills:
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technology or infrastructure solutions, applying strong critical and analytical thinking while balancing attention to detail with a strategic, big-picture perspective.
  • Skilled in requirements analysis, including eliciting, documenting, and managing functional requirements, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for requirements capture and backlog management.
  • Experience delivering product and infrastructure initiatives within complex environments, with a sound understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and a proven ability to communicate, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Desirable: Domain Knowledge (Banking / Payments / Digital Platforms)
  • Technical knowledge will be a benefit to assist with data analysis

This role is based in Knutsford.

Accountabilities:
  • Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation.
  • Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope.
  • Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.
