This is your chance to be at the heart of high-impact change - bridging the gap between business needs and technology. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Retail Finance to gather and translate requirements and support the development of Python-based models and automation tools that drive operational efficiency and control.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  1. Act as a liaison between Finance teams and developers to ensure alignment and clarity throughout delivery.
  2. Collaborate with business units to gather, document, and validate functional and technical requirements.
  3. Translate business needs into clear technical specifications for development teams.
  4. Work closely with developers to translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications, particularly for Python-based tools and models.
  5. Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and automation.
  6. Create and maintain high-quality documentation including process maps, data dictionaries, project scopes, and technical specifications.
  7. Coordinate the timely delivery of governance activities and ensure compliance with internal standards and documentation requirements.
  8. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  9. Support full project lifecycle, including user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and post-implementation reviews.
  10. Support project delivery by coordinating with developers, testers, and business users.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst working closely with software developers in a data-driven or technical product environment — ideally in analytics, forecasting, or internal tools.

Strong understanding of system analysis, software development lifecycle, and data structures.

Proficient in tools such as Excel with a working understanding of SQL. Familiarity with documentation and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and experience using process mapping platforms/tools.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.

Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

A background in finance or hands-on experience with finance systems such as TM1, SAP, and Oracle.

Familiarity with data structures and data pipelines.

Knowledge of data governance principles, including data quality and data lineage.

Awareness of software engineering concepts and development practices.
