Key Responsibilities
- Manage client opportunities, deliver engagements, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
- Respond to technical accounting queries and analyse client transactions for detailed technical analysis and formal opinions.
- Advise clients on technical accounting issues, standards, and regulatory impacts.
- Prepare and review client reports, workshops, and training sessions.
- Support implementation of new accounting standards and post-implementation reviews.
- Assist in business development, client targeting, and thought leadership, especially within Financial Services.
- Research industry developments and participate in technical training.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant technical accounting experience within Financial Services, particularly Banking.
- Strong understanding of standards related to financial instruments (IAS 39, IFRS 9, IFRS 7, IFRS 13, IAS 32, IFRS 16, IFRS 15).
- Practical experience applying these standards in banking.
- Experience with IFRS 9 impairment, derivatives, hedge accounting, and accounting change projects is desirable.
- Knowledge of non-financial instruments standards and their application in deals and finance transformations.
- Understanding of UK and EU banking regulations and IFRS-regulatory interactions.
- Professional qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
Preferred Skills and Additional Experience
Additional experience in asset management or related Financial Services areas is advantageous.
Locations
Core hubs are London, Manchester, and Birmingham, with the position primarily based in London. Flexible working options are available across 20 UK sites.
