We are looking for a Technical Authority in the field of Composite Manufacturing Process Development to join the GKN Aerospace Technology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of advanced manufacturing technologies for GKN Aerospace. The successful candidate will have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the field of composite manufacturing process development and a proven track record in leading and executing complex technology development projects, particularly in Resin Transfer Moulding and large-scale primary wing structures.
The Technical Authority will be responsible for leading the development and supporting the industrialisation of state-of-the-art composite manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include ensuring technical excellence, driving innovation, leading a multidisciplinary team, supporting strategic planning, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Essential: Bachelor's or Master's in Materials Science, Engineering, or related; extensive experience in aerospace composite process development; recognized contribution to the field; knowledge of high-maturity RTM; strong leadership and communication skills; proven problem-solving ability; extensive professional network.
Desirable: Proactive innovation mindset; collaborative attitude; flexibility to adapt to industry trends.
