Job Description:

This role is for a Technical Author / Validation Engineer based in Laindon, Essex, working in a purpose-built facility with 70 employees. The company specializes in designing and assembling filling and packaging lines for aerosols, primarily for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

The position involves supporting Project Managers and Engineering Technicians, initially focusing on testing machines using preprepared protocols to support verification processes, ensuring consistency and understanding machine operations.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Reporting test outcomes and providing feedback for process improvement.
2. Reviewing and updating Equipment Design Specifications and Qualification Documentation.
3. Liaising during the equipment build process.
4. Preparing Operator and Technical Manuals in compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements for UKCA/CE marking, functional safety, and ATEX certification.

As experience grows, additional tasks will include:

1. Preparing Qualification Documentation (DQ, IQ, OQ).
2. Developing Equipment Design Specifications.
3. Interpreting Customer User Requirements and support documentation.
4. Collaborating with suppliers and customers during projects.
5. Conducting Site Acceptance Tests at customer sites.

The ideal candidate should have skills in mechanical, electrical, and/or software engineering, with some experience in an engineering environment, and excellent communication skills. Previous testing experience is advantageous.

Remuneration ranges from £32,000 to £35,000 depending on experience.
