Technology Central Observability Team - Technical Writer Role

Seeking an experienced Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation that enhances our engineers' experience with observability tools. You will collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure our tooling is accessible to developers.

As a Technical Writer, you will translate complex technical information into clear, concise, user-friendly documents, including user guides and technical manuals. Your work will improve the efficiency of our development teams and influence how information is structured and delivered for maximum accessibility and value.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, detail-oriented, and dedicated to improving the user experience for developers.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers and product managers to understand the product and documentation needs.
• Create high-quality documentation meeting standards and audience needs.
• Develop tutorials for end-users of observability tools.
• Analyze content for reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
• Create and maintain the information architecture.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience in technical writing of software documentation.
• Ability to produce detailed, high-quality documentation.
• Quickly grasp complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly.
• Excellent written English skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent preferred.
