Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Technical Author experienced in a software delivery environment to produce high-quality product documentation. You will handle the creation and maintenance of user guides, release notes, and product enhancements, working closely with product, development, and support teams to document features and functionalities.

Joining our Service Management department, you will demonstrate strong customer focus and excellent communication skills. Your role involves creating and reviewing technical documentation for diverse audiences, with a focus on continuous delivery and meeting deadlines.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Experience in creating and reviewing customer-facing user materials
• Proven experience within a software delivery environment
• Knowledge of agile methodologies, preferably Scrum and Kanban
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, development teams, and product owners
• High-quality user documentation skills, with attention to language and graphics
• Customer-focused with good deadline management
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Awareness of single-sourcing methodology

Additional beneficial skills include:

• Knowledge of technical authoring tools like MadCap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp
• Experience with version control software such as Git
• Experience working in software development or with APIs

Salary

The role offers a salary between £30,000 to £40,000 per annum. Your growth within CDL is driven by your ambition and effort.
