This is an exciting role within a rapidly developing and growing business which has an unrivalled reputation globally as a leading designer and manufacturer of high-speed automated machinery for the life science manufacturing sector.

Working in a dedicated team of industry professionals you will create manuals and technical documentation for a range of special purpose machinery projects.

What will a typical day look like?

• Create and maintain instruction manuals and technical documentation in accordance with legislation, machinery directives and quality standards
• Ensure documentation is clear and consistent for both external and internal customers
• Update and re-write existing documentation, when required
• Ensure documentation is kept up to date with engineering changes using document control procedures
• Work across departments to collate information and drawings
• Be part of a team dedicated to delivering projects to plan and budget

What will you bring to the role?

• A minimum of a HNC qualification in Mechanical, Software/Controls or Electrical Engineering
• Technical writing experience within an engineering environment
• Knowledge and understanding of machinery directives and CE compliant documentation
• Ability to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering drawings
• An understanding of drawing release and change control processes
• Familiar with CAD systems
• Proficient with MS Office, particularly Word
• Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and data accuracy
• Effective interpersonal relationship skills to create a positive and productive team-oriented environment with all departments
• A proactive and flexible approach to work and be comfortable with a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities
• The ability to work on your own initiative
