Job Summary

The Technical Audit team's main principle is to evaluate and approve the validity of technical, industrial, and maintainability choices and their justifications. The team's intervention focuses on the entire value chain, including R&T, preliminary studies, development of new products or modifications of existing products, and events in service.

Before any new program commitments or customer proposal submissions, including responses to RFIs, the Technical Audit team assesses:

  • The maturity of proposed technologies and concepts
  • The consideration of lessons learned
  • The risks linked to the development logic
  • The margins to be taken into account

Before any program milestone validation, the team evaluates:

  • The completion of required conditions in its field of application
  • The maturity of design concerning business and industrial commitments

The position holder is expected to lead these activities to ensure timely completion and participate directly in all audit activities for SGB engineering development projects. They will also contribute to effective knowledge management, utilizing expertise and lessons learned from development, industrialization, and operations in service.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Execute the Technical Audit (TA) mission within SGB according to GRP-0299 processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the HO Technical Audit to ensure Master Engineering Reviews (MER) and associated reviews are held on schedule and meet process requirements (SST-DEV-012), supporting milestone gates or internal milestones.
  • Act as an independent reviewer of engineering reviews, providing feedback and identifying improvements as needed.

The role requires extensive experience and competence in engineering design and related processes. The candidate should hold an engineering degree or equivalent, with demonstrated design experience in aerospace product development. An engineering degree is desirable; experience is essential.

The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of all engineering disciplines and be able to find suitable solutions to technical problems. Essential technical knowledge includes:

  • Mechanical design
  • Electrical design
  • Electronic control systems and actuation
  • Stress analysis
  • Dynamic and static testing and understanding results
  • Industry standards, including FAA, EASA, & CAA regulations
  • Airframer requirements and processes

Project management and risk management process knowledge are desirable.
