We offer lead and follow capacity to multi-class portfolios within the global (re)insurance market, supporting key trading partners, and have established ourselves as key players in the Portfolio Solutions marketplace.

The Technical Assistant will support underwriters and the wider business through administrative duties, reporting, and stakeholder liaison. • Record policy referral points in the Underwriting tracking spreadsheet.
  • Enter and validate policyholder information into the underwriting admin system.
  • Utilize Canopius systems to generate and distribute standard underwriting reports for analysis.
  • Support underwriters by responding to internal and external stakeholder requests, including brokers, claims, exposure management, credit control, compliance, and operations.
  • Assist with pre- and post-bind checks.
  • Maintain records according to data quality standards.
  • Instruct onshore and offshore third-party staff as needed.
  • Assist with credit control and monitor aged debt per internal guidelines.
  • Manage Bordereaux for risk and aggregation, liaising with exposure management to meet deadlines.
  • Improve team processes and reporting.
  • Conduct ad hoc research to support underwriters.

Skills

  • A graduate degree in an analytical discipline is advantageous.
  • Accurate, numerate, and detail-oriented.
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Good time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
