A local government authority in Scotland is seeking a Technical Assistant to join the Private Water Supply Team. The successful candidate will conduct water sampling and provide advice to the public regarding Private Water Supplies to ensure a safe water supply. A valid driving license is essential for this role. This position offers a competitive salary and the chance to contribute to community health.
Grade: 7A
Hourly Rate: £17.78 - £19.51
Salary: £32465.07 - £35622.32 per annum
Contract Duration: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Private Water Supply Team at Scottish Borders Council as a Technical Assistant. The successful applicant would be part of small team mainly carrying out water sampling from Private Supplies throughout the Scottish Borders. The post is predominantly site based with a degree of admin duties as part of the sampling process. The post involves taking samples for submission to the laboratory, analysis of sampling results and giving advice to members of the public who use Private Water Supplies to ensure a wholesome water supply.
