As a Technical Assistant, you will support the Boots Beauty & Personal Care Technical team in the delivery of new products into Boots. Your role will be to manage the technical data for our products, including specifications, validation, and compliance, keeping the customer at the heart of decision-making. Projects will vary in complexity, and you will liaise with a wide network of internal and external stakeholders to ensure all data is available to meet consumer needs, optimized for quality, and within agreed timescales.

About the role

You will help ensure all technical activities are completed promptly, ensuring new products are launched on time and existing products remain available. Responsibilities include:

  1. Ensure all products have the correct documentation in place and are maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
  2. Manage approved samples and release to market.
  3. Control and load documents onto information management systems.
  4. Maintain technical data systems following quality management system requirements.
  5. Use process and system knowledge to identify and implement new or improved ways of working.
  6. Manage technical queries and complaints from customers.
  7. Coordinate complex initiatives such as ongoing product compliance and new accreditations for the Boots brand.
  8. Manage key stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
  9. Adopt all applicable processes and procedures in line with the Quality Management System.
  10. Manage budget administration, including raising POs, tracking invoices, and overall project budget reports.
