Job Description

PAY AWARD PENDING.

West Dunbartonshire Council are looking for two experienced and motivated individuals for the post of Technical Assistant to provide a wide range of services within the Roads and Transportation section.

The postholders will be responsible for:
• Inspection of Roads and Footways and other assets under the remit of Roads and Transportation
• Utilising Asset Management systems and assisting with Aurora for defects and road works co-ordination
• Processing of permits and third party claims
• Assist with monitoring the condition of the Roads Network for the area
• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and other legislation
• Dealing with enquiries and complaints

The successful candidates should have excellent knowledge of NRSWA (preferably with Streetworks Supervisor qualification), Chapter 8 of the TSRGD and asset management systems. A working knowledge of identification, assessment and prioritisation of defects would be expected. Familiarity with Aurora and GIS systems would be beneficial. A flexible attitude with an aptitude for problem solving and being able to work well in a team would be essential.
