Technical Assistant

About the Role

Our client is a successful wholesaler and manufacturer of food products. Due to growth, Manucomm is seeking a Technical Administrator / Technical Assistant to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in a day-based role within the food industry. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and passionate about technical aspects of food production.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work closely with management to ensure all areas of the Food Safety System are maintained.
  2. Knowledge of wholesale and nutritional specifications.
  3. Conduct regular internal audits of the Quality System and site hygiene.
  4. Create standard operating procedures for production processes.
  5. Develop new products and nutritional information.
  6. Test existing products.
  7. Handle customer complaints.
  8. Manage supplier approvals.
  9. Assist with the management of the site HACCP.
  10. Support health and safety management.
  11. Perform administrative tasks as required.

Full on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications
  1. HACCP Level 2 certification.
  2. Experience working with specifications.
  3. Experience in a food or drink production environment is beneficial.
  4. Methodical, logical, and detail-oriented.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum.

This role may suit a Food Science or Food Technology graduate or a QA/Quality Auditor seeking the next step in their career within the food industry.
