Our client is a privately-owned company specialising in the production and supply of household laundry and cleaning products. They supply a number of national and international customers with their own brand of laundry and cleaning products.
They have laboratory, blending, and packing facilities at their Birkenhead premises to produce household, laundry, and cleaning products. They develop, scale up, and produce all formulations in-house.
Their team develops formulations to match briefs from customers, which are then blended and packaged at their manufacturing facilities in Birkenhead.
They are currently seeking a full-time Technical Assistant to join their expanding team to work in our technical department.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Degree qualified
• Experience in household and laundry cleaning products formulation development
• Experience working in a laboratory environment
• Computer literate
What will your role look like?
• Work as part of the research and development technical team
• Develop new formulations based on briefs to meet product requirements and performance against relevant benchmarks
• Preparation of laboratory-scale product samples
• Undertake routine Quality control checks on product samples
• Develop new formulations to match the target cost and review existing formulations to optimise in terms of performance and cost
• Be involved in the transition of newly developed products into full-scale production
• Work with the technical team to complete regulatory testing on current and new formulations
• Completion of necessary paperwork required for product launches and the compilation of associated reports, documents and files regarding testing and product formulations
• Engage with suppliers to understand new chemical advancements and trends in the market
• Monitoring new products, chemicals and trends within the market
