Are you looking to build your career in Technical and Quality Assurance within fresh produce?

We're currently seeking a Technical Assistant to join the team based primarily in Bearsted, with some work across Teynham and Sittingbourne pack houses. Starting from 1st March 2025, this is a fantastic opportunity to support the Technical Managers and Directors on product safety, legality, quality and compliance across a wide range of categories.

In this role you'll assist with maintaining customer technical libraries, organising and coordinating product samples and trials, and supporting supplier reviews and customer visits. You'll prepare and deliver KPI reports, help manage benchmarking across categories, and ensure clear and accurate communication between technical, commercial and compliance teams.

You'll also play a key part in supporting category transformations, packaging projects, policy changes, and resilience planning, while contributing to audits and continuous improvement projects across the business.

This role will suit someone motivated, detail-focused and confident in liaising with multiple stakeholders, with a passion for quality, compliance and customer service.

What do you need?
  • Previous experience in Technical, Quality or Compliance within fresh produce (desirable)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, Excel and databases
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • A proactive and motivated team player, keen to learn and develop
The details:

Working hours: 8am-5pm (7am-4pm also an option if preferred)

Contract: Full-time, permanent
