Job summary

UK Home Office is seeking a Technical Architect to shape, document and assure architectures for digital products, platforms and services. You will translate requirements into clear designs and artefacts, identify risks and opportunities for reuse, and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable and resilient services.

You will analyse existing solutions, contribute to architecture decisions, and support integration of new systems and cloud services while adhering to governance

Qualifications

• Contributing to the design and assurance of secure, resilient and supportable digital services.
• Producing architecture artefacts and technical designs that support delivery of secure, resilient services.
• Producing and maintaining architecture artefacts, including diagrams, assessments and design documentation.
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement in solution design.
• Working across multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and stakeholders to develop practical tech solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyse existing services, platforms and technical solutions to identify improvement opportunities and support secure outcomes.
• Contribute to solution architecture by producing artefacts, evaluating options and documenting decisions, risks and dependencies.
• Support integration of new systems, platforms and cloud services into existing environments with architecture diagrams and assessments.
• Take ownership of architecture activities for designated products or workstreams and drive improvements.
• Collaborate across teams and suppliers to identify reusable components and reduce technical debt.
