Job Description

A thriving AJ100 architectural practice, renowned for its commitment to innovation and excellence, is seeking an experienced construction professional to join their technical team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with project running and/or project delivery experience to contribute to the success of the practice. The ideal candidate can be an Architect, technologist or other construction professional.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive advice to designers on regulations, standards, construction, and materials.
  • Assist designers in specification writing and information management.
  • Conduct technical research to support the innovation of our design teams.
  • Undertake project reviews to enhance project design and management.
  • Deliver in-house CPD seminars to upskill design teams on technical and regulatory matters.
  • Support project runners in efficiently managing their projects.
  • Implement and maintain quality and risk management procedures.
  • Negotiate and finalise project appointments and services.
  • Liaise with professional indemnity insurers on both non-contentious and contentious matters.
  • Offer liability advice and manage professional negligence claims.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of practical aspects of architecture.
  • Approachable and engaging communicators with a passion for knowledge sharing and mentoring.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with designers and project runners to enhance technical design and specification.
  • Familiarity with relevant requirements of the Building Regulations, including pre-planning and pre-construction stages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within the technical team and other in-house support teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with external organisations such as RIBA, NBS, UK-GBC, BSI, and other industry entities.
  • The right to live and work in the UK

Qualifications:

  • Background in construction, architecture, or related field.
  • Previous experience in project running and/or project delivery is highly desirable.
