Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a Technical Architect to join our central Architecture & Design practice. This hands-on role designs robust, scalable solutions across corporate platforms and customer-facing services, partnering with delivery teams to translate requirements into architectures that are built, operated, and supported.

You’ll balance delivery pressures with long‑term sustainability, review designs with peers, and contribute to roadmaps while collaborating with Security Architects

Qualifications

• Proven experience producing technical architecture designs.
• Strong understanding of compute, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Ability to balance delivery pressures with design quality and long-term sustainability.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical architecture designs for corporate platforms and customer solutions across on-premise, data centre, and cloud environments.
• Evaluate architecture options and provide evidence-based recommendations balancing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work with delivery teams to support implementation, including knowledge transfer and hands-on assistance.
• Participate in architecture peer reviews to maintain high design quality across the practice.
• Present designs to Technical Assurance Board and support assurance discussions with specialist knowledge.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and explore new technologies for controlled adoption.
• Collaborate with Security Architects to ensure protection of workloads.
