Job summary

Ampstek in London is seeking a Technical Architect to shape cloud and data architecture. You will bridge business and technology, working with Product Owners and stakeholders to define a modern data ecosystem that supports current and future needs.

You will bring hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider and a track record in data warehousing and analytics platforms, with strong communication to senior leaders. Onsite in London with UK work authorisation.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Technical, Cloud or Data Architect.
• Hands-on knowledge of at least one of AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience with cloud data warehousing and data lake or lakehouse platforms.
• Strong understanding of scalability, multi-tenancy, virtualization and orchestration.
• Experience gathering BI and analytics requirements and turning them into architecture.
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to senior business and IT leaders.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Architect to shape cloud and data architecture across the organisation. You will act as a subject matter expert across cloud and on-prem platforms and bridge the gap between business and technology. You will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders and other SMEs to define a modern data ecosystem that supports current and future needs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the SME for end-to-end cloud and on-prem architecture across AWS, GCP, Azure and future providers, including networking, provisioning and management
• Apply cloud architecture principles such as OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration and scalability
• Provide thought leadership on data strategy, technologies and engineering to business and IT leadership

• Must be available to work onsite in London, UK
• Must have valid work authorisation for the UK
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with onsite and delivery teams
