Job summary

A consultancy firm in the UK is seeking a Technical Architect for an AI programme. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in technical architecture on an enterprise level, extensive knowledge in AI/ML architecture, and a proven ability to work in regulated environments. Overview

Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our Central Government client who are seeking a Technical Architect on an AI programme, for an initial 6 month contract

Service Location: London (successful candidate must be able to travel to London once per week)

What we're looking for

We're looking for people with a passion for public service and the skills to make a difference and who have:

  • Minimum of 10 years in technical architecture on the enterprise level.
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams to design and deliver solutions.
  • Extensive experience in AI/ML architecture and system design (minimum 2 years) with proven expertise in hands-on coding AI solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and MLOps(machine learning operations) practices.
  • Deep knowledge about design and implementation of secure integrations between AI solutions and legacy enterprise software, whilst ensuring compliance with government-level security requirements, implementing single sign-on (SSO) authentication protocols
  • Deep knowledge about costing of AI models to produce reasonable ROI and modular reusable services with moderate level of maintenance.
  • Understanding of data architecture, API design, and microservices patterns
  • Knowledge of government technology standards and security frameworks
  • Working knowledge about appropriate Data Ethics Frameworks for AI initiatives, ensuring responsible and transparent AI deployment
  • Understanding of the modern and current AI systems and their lifecycle.
  • Experience working in regulated environments with strict security and compliance requirements
  • Experience of working at pace, on cutting-edge technology and not afraid to take on calculated technical risks to deliver faster.
  • Experience of Agile, Incubator or other Rapid development techniques.
To be considered
  • Recent experience operating within a Central Government department
