GR Consulting is recruiting a Technical Architect for a high‑impact, multi‑site technology program in London. You will shape the technology landscape by defining architecture across Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, SD‑WAN, Cyber Security, Automation and AI, ensuring security, scalability and resilience.

The role is hands‑on and strategic, with responsibility for roadmaps, standards and major project designs, working closely with IT leaders and site teams.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a technically strong Architect with broad exposure to cloud, on-prem and hybrid environments.
• Experience with retail, hospitality, or multi-site operations is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, networking, security and site technology is essential.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop the technology architecture and roadmap across Cloud, Infrastructure and Networking.
• Lead the development of SD-WAN, connectivity and site infrastructure.
• Develop robust disaster recovery, business continuity and resilience strategies.
• Provide technical direction across POS, payments and operational technology.

Technical Architect – Multi-Site Technology

Location: London (Hybrid) 3 Days WFH

Salary: £85,000 + 10% Bonus + Excellent Benefits

My client is a highly successful international organisation with a significant multi-site presence across the UK and Europe. They are looking for aTechnical Architect to work closely with the IT Director and shape the future technology landscape across the organisation.

Experience within retail, hospitality, leisure, food & beverage or other large multi-site environments would be highly advantageous.

Strong POS / EPOS / payments / site technology experience is essential.

This is a hands‑on architecture role with genuine scope to modernise and transform technology across a complex, distributed environment.

You will help define the technology roadmap and architecture across Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, SD‑WAN, Cyber Security, Automation, AI and Disaster Recovery, while ensuring technology remains secure, scalable and resilient.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and develop the technology architecture and roadmap.
• Design and modernise cloud, infrastructure and networking solutions.
• Lead the development of SD‑WAN, connectivity and site infrastructure.
• Develop robust Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and resilience strategies.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI and emerging technologies.
• Provide technical direction across POS, payments and operational technology.
• Lead technical design for major technology projects and transformation.
• Establish technology standards and best practices across the organisation.
• Work closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate new technologies and provide commercially sound technical recommendations.
